The FlagShip system is a unique suite of desktop ship and yacht design  computer programs, covering the process from conceptual design through contract and detail design. The programs are developed and supported by some of the world’s leading experts in each particular application area. The software supports important design and production processes to streamline the individual steps and to unify and improve the information management required to design and build ships. FlagShip and its component modules are currently in use in over 1000 shipyards, design offices, and navies in over 30 countries around the world.

FlagShip Design Process
"The completeness of the FlagShip suite, the quality of the individual modules, and the level of technical support set it apart from other programs. We rely on FlagShip to help us provide high quality ship designs." Kvaerner Masa Marine, USA

Each program is interfaced to the others as appropriate, using an open ASCII format known as the IMSA Definition File, or IDF. And although the programs can all work together, you can purchase and use only those that you need. If you already have other software for a particular application area, the open data transfer approach of the FlagShip suite means that it can probably be interfaced to FlagShip.

Proteus Engineering not only develops some of the applications, but also provides a single source of training, technical support, and acquisition. Of course technical support and training services are also available from our development partners, as well as our local representatives.

"Proteus Engineering and their software partners consistently provide superior technical support, and their FlagShip software is truly professional. I highly recommend it." Palmer Johnson, Inc., USA
